Had the pleasure of giving a guest lecture for the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Executive MBA students last weekend! Being back at my alma mater was a special feeling, still such a great place, filled with amazing memories! We are thrilled to welcome Gerianne Terlouw to the SeaO2 team as our newest Chemical Oceanographer! 🌊✨ Gerianne brings incredible expertise from her work at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she explored pCO2 variability in surface water and air-sea CO2 fluxes around Hawaii’s coral reefs 🏝️. She also contributed to productivity research carried out at the longest running oceanographic monitoring program; the Hawaii Ocean Time-series (HOT) 🌍🔬. When she's not conducting groundbreaking research, Gerianne volunteers at a horse-riding stable for individuals with disablilities and enjoys outdoor adventures like mountain biking 🚴♀️, survival running 🏃♀️, freediving 🤿, and surfing 🏄♀️. Her hands-on experience with direct measurements is a perfect addition to our team and will complement our ongoing efforts in monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV). We're excited to have her on board and can't wait to see what we'll achieve together! 🚀
