At NanoAPI, we believe software should be an open book, not a black box. Our open-source tool helps teams visualize, refactor, and modernize their architecture, making complex systems more transparent, maintainable, and efficient. We built NanoAPI because we’ve felt the pain of technical debt firsthand, digging through legacy systems, trying to make sense of tangled dependencies. That’s why we’re on a mission to give developers clarity and control over their codebase, without compromising security or performance. By embracing open-core principles, we’re creating a community. A space where developers, architects, and tech leaders can collaborate, share knowledge, and shape the future of software together. If you care about scalability, maintainability, and smarter software architecture, join us. Let’s build better systems, together. 👾

Big promises. Bold slogans. But what do they actually mean? Just got back from Hannover Messe 2025 #HM25 Here’s what I saw: I walked past dozens of massive booths from well-known industry giants. Slogans everywhere. Big claims. Even bigger words. But try asking someone what they really mean. After a few minutes, I realized something: No one really knows. Not even the people working there. Meanwhile at NanoAPI (Techstars '24) We were struggling to translate something deeply technical to simple text. Maybe we did not succeed But it was the best we could do Here’s what I noticed: • Big companies use buzzwords to sound innovative • Most slogans don’t explain what they do or how they help • Real innovation shouldn’t need a decoder ring So when do you become big enough to stop actually communicating what you do? Let’s stop promising the future and start explaining the present. Drop a comment if you’ve seen a slogan recently that said a lot, but meant nothing. I’ll post some of my favorites below.

I’m at Hannover Messe this week to co-create, not pitch. No booth. No deck. Just conversations with the people building the future of industrial systems. Here’s what I’m exploring: • Where legacy architecture is blocking innovation • How teams are actually using APIs on the factory floor • What visibility means when uptime is non-negotiable This week is about pressure-testing with those who live the complexity daily. If you’re at Hannover and working on OT/IT integration, APIs, or system modernization: Let’s build something that works.

... and this is why we do it! Well said, Justus van Mil!
Visualizing your system architecture: Why is it a must? A system you can’t visualize is a system you don’t fully understand. And if you don’t understand it, how can you improve it? Up till today, many engineers and engineering teams operate in a black box. They are using outdated knowledge, documentation, or diagrams. So what happens? ❌Architectural quality goes down -> Architectual drift ❌❌You don't know where to start fixing your error -> Hidden complexities ❌❌❌ Your system is now officially a black box -> Production outages. So, why visualizing it? ▪️ A clear, up-to-date visualization offloads the visualisation from your brain, making problem-solving faster and less manual. ▪️ From developers to tech leadership, everyone needs a shared understanding of how the system actually works. ▪️ Whether optimizing performance or planning changes, visuaization shows bottlenecks and risks before they become expensive problems. How do you visualize your architecture today? I suggest you to take a look at our live demo and see how we can help! NanoAPI (Techstars '24)'s tool helps to keep your mental model aligned with reality.
Welcome aboard! 🚀🚀
