  • Our platform in Germany, Lieferando, is expanding its range of sustainable takeaway packaging by partnering with Huhtamaki to offer new plastic-free and fully recyclable food boxes to restaurant partners 📦 The takeaway boxes are coated with Xampla's innovative @Morro™ coating - the world’s first plant protein coating for food takeaway boxes. Following initial tests by Just Eat for Business in the UK, selected restaurant partners in Hamburg, Essen, Munich and Wiesloch have already been trialling the packaging. Lieferando's restaurant partners across Germany can now also order the packaging in the Lieferando Partner Webshop. This collaboration supports our wider mission at Just Eat Takeaway.com to reduce single-use plastic in the food delivery sector and help our partners make more sustainable choices. As our Global Head of Responsible Business & Sustainability, Jaz Rabadia MBE Rabadia, said: “We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with innovative companies who share the goal of addressing single-use plastic waste with us.   • This month, we hit the road with our JET branded Ramadan bus, traveling to five key locations across the UK, including London and Birmingham, to celebrate Ramadan with our incredible courier community. 🧡 Our UK-wide Iftar tour was all about creating a warm, welcoming space where couriers could come together to break their fast.   • Pet food, pregnancy tests and PlayStations: Just Eat expands offering as Brits embrace on-demand shopping 🇬🇧 🚀 New data from Just Eat reveals a significant shift in consumer habits with retail orders doubling in just a year across the UK and Ireland, as customers use the app for a range of occasions outside of traditional takeaways - from everyday essentials and working from home emergencies to last-minute gifting. The number of restaurants and retailers listed on #JustEat grew by 15% in the UK last year, creating more choice and value for 18 million UK customers.
