Een stille relaxruimte als trend op beurzen? Tijdens de Independent Hotel Show Europe in de RAI Amsterdam werd ik verrast door de komst van de officiële Trend Tour. De quiet room, een plek om even te relaxen midden in de hectiek van de beurs – werd daar benoemd als een van de opvallende trends rondom het thema 'quiet luxury'. Trendwatcher Vincent van Dijk (HBMEO) kwam op beide dagen langs met een groep van tientallen hospitality professionals en benadrukte het belang van rust, zachtheid en aandacht in de gastbeleving. Ik mocht vervolgens vertellen over het belang en de voordelen van zo'n ruimte en ze de ruimte laten zien. Zo leuk die reacties! Waar vroeger alles draaide om meer, drukker, luider, zien we nu de kracht van stilte, comfort en ontspannen. Supermooi om te zien dat de hospitalitybranche niet alleen innoveert in technologie of design, maar ook in welzijn (ik blijf dit toch maar een saai woord vinden, wellbeing klinkt toch veel lekkerder?). Een quiet room op je event of beurs? Het lijkt misschien klein, maar het laat grote gastvrijheid zien. Deelnemers/bezoekers zijn relaxter, verrast én kunnen zelfs met meer aandacht de content opnemen. Benieuwd hoe je dit zelf kunt toepassen op jouw event of locatie? The official show opening saw our Event Manager Chaya Huisman and Vincent van Dijk, IHA Ambassador and Trend Forecaster (HBMEO), unveiling the show's theme and exploring trends around how hoteliers are redefining luxury. Last week our presence at the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam with the Astore Procurement - Your buying partner stand provided our colleagues a valuable platform to engage with industry leaders and discuss key trends that are driving the sector. Stuart Harker, Senior Carbon & Sustainability Manager at Accor explored the strategic imperatives for sustainable hotel operations, and was leading an insightful session on best practices for tracking and reducing carbon emissions across the hotel supply chain.
