Sparta Rotterdam have done a phenomenal job with their stadium. After converting from artificial turf to a state-of-the-art grass pitch in 2022, they are now transforming their stadium into a modern, sustainable stadium. In 2022 we installed a DrainTalent PRO in 'Het Kasteel', the stadium of Sparta Rotterdam. Prior to this installation, a FieldFactors water storage system was already installed. Combined with the DrainTalent system, this made it a complete closed loop water management system, a milestone for a professional football club. With all the changes in the stadium, from conventional gas heated systems to a hot cold storage system, combined with more than 1,000 solar panels. This makes it not only one of the oldest stadiums in the Netherlands, but also one of the most sustainable.

How do we turn rainwater into a resource? It starts with our BlueBloqs technology! 🌧️ Our BlueBloqs system doesn’t just capture stormwater; it treats, stores, and replenishes it, reducing flood risk while strengthening local water resilience. In our Madrid project with Microsoft, we’re applying a 4-step approach to keep rainwater where it belongs: 💧 Collection: Separating runoff from the sewer system 💧 Retention: Using green infrastructure to store water 💧 Treatment: Smart biofiltration to ensure water quality 💧 Replenish: Redirecting clean water back into nature Over 200 million litres of rainwater will be captured from the Solana de Valdebebas major urban development and used to replenish a local stream. You can find out more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/eFKzeVFr Swipe through to see how we’re making cities climate-adaptive, one drop at a time! 🌍💦 #RainwaterReuse #WaterReuse #WaterReplenishment #ClimateResilience

Happy World Water Day! As cities expand, the way we manage water needs to evolve. Too often, stormwater is treated as waste, diverted into drains and lost to the system. At FieldFactors, we see it differently. 💧 By treating and replenishing rainwater locally, we turn it into a valuable resource. In turn this helps to reduce flood risks, conserve freshwater, and restore urban ecosystems and biodiversity. Our latest collaboration with Microsoft in Madrid will do just that: using our BlueBloqs technology to treat up to 200 million liters of rainwater annually and replenish the Valdebebas stream. We're working alongside the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), who will assist with design and water quality monitoring, the City of Madrid Ayuntamiento de Madridand Solana Madrid. We are building water resilience drop by drop. Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/eFKzeVFr #WaterReplenishment #RainwaterReuse #WaterStewardship #WorldWaterDay

We are pleased to share our latest project: Rain²River, collaborating with Microsoft to bring sustainable rainwater solutions to Madrid! 🌍☀️ As part of the new Solana Madrid development, FieldFactors’ BlueBloqs technology will treat and replenish up to 200 million liters of stormwater runoff every year, helping restore the Valdebebas stream and boost local water resilience. 🌱💦 Urbanisation often means lost water, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Instead of sending rainwater down the drain, our nature-based technology keeps water where it belongs, replenishing water bodies, reducing flooding, and protecting biodiversity. This collaboration with Microsoft, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), and the City of Madrid Ayuntamiento de Madrid is another step toward climate-adaptive cities. See more details: https://lnkd.in/eFKzeVFr We are making every drop count. 💧 #RainwaterReuse #WaterReuse #WaterReplenishment #GreenCities #WorldWaterDay

Exciting news! We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Microsoft on an innovative water replenishment initiative at the Solana de Valdebebas development in Madrid!💧 This massive urban development Solana Madrid, is over 1 million square meters with nearly 1,400 residential units, will utilize our BlueBloqs Technology sustainable drainage system to capture up to 95% of rainfall where it lands - aiming to collect 200 million liters of stormwater annually!🌧️ Rather than letting water go to waste, we're capturing, treating, and redirecting it to replenish the local Valdebebas stream, a tributary of the Jarama River and in the Tagus basin. "Every drop counts if you capture and store it," says our CEO Karina Peña. "This approach safeguards cities from flooding and heat stress, conserves freshwater resources, strengthens water resilience, and encourages biodiversity." We're working alongside the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), who will assist with design and water quality monitoring and Ayuntamiento de Madrid the city of Madrid. This project demonstrates how nature-based solutions can be scaled and transform urban water management while tackling climate challenges. Our BlueBloqs technology continues to prove its effectiveness across multiple sites in the Netherlands and Spain! 🌱💦 Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/eFKzeVFr #RainwaterReuse #WaterReuse #WaterReplenishment #WorldWaterDay
