Where does healthcare end and social care begin? It's not a trick question, but having visited two large conferences in the UK recently, one based on healthcare and one based on social care, I realised very few companies attended both conferences, despite the fact that integrating health and social care provision was a major theme at both events. This is also despite a huge national shift towards integrated care, with organisations across the UK sharing funding and approaches to provide more holistic care pathways.
