A new day, two more amazing mentors to meet! Today we’re highlighting Alice Scalamandré and Manuel Romeo Monterde — both passionate about shaping the future of sustainable energy. Let’s meet them: Alice Scalamandrè 🎓 Studies: EFSC, Intake of 2021. Studied her first year at KTH and second year at UPC. 🌍 Originally from: Italy, now lives in Spain. 🛠️ Role: Community Manager at EIT InnoEnergy — a part of our very own CommUnity! 🌱 She’s building bridges across the student and alumni network, leading community engagement, newsletters, vendor communications, and social media. A true connector! Manuel Romeo Monterde 🎓 Studies: RENE, Intake of 2022. Studied his first year at IST and second year at KTH. 🌍 Originally from: Spain, now lives in Spain. 🛠️ Role: Research Assistant & PhD Candidate at Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica (IIT), under the Iberdrola Chair. He’s diving deep into the electrification of heavy transport, planning charging infrastructure, analyzing regulatory frameworks, and modeling power networks to support future demands. Mohd Aiman Khan 🎓 Studies: EFSC, Intake of 2019. Studied his first year at KU Leuven and second year at KTH. 🌍 Originally from India, now lives in Sweden. 🛠️ Role: PhD student in the Division of Transport Planning at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where he’s contributing to cutting-edge research in mobility and infrastructure.

Studied his first year at UPC and second year at KTH. 🌍 Originally from Italy, now lives in Portugal. 🛠️ Role: Project Manager at Pamoja Cleantech, where he oversees clean cooking and carbon finance initiatives, including field operations in Mozambique. Matteo also handles stakeholder communications, budgeting, and project planning.
