The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has released a new video highlighting wind propulsion as a key enabler of sustainable shipping. Econowind’s VentoFoil technology is presented as a tangible example of how wind-assisted ship propulsion can reduce fuel consumption and emissions today. The VentoFoil is a suction-based wing sail that uses wind power to support vessel propulsion. It’s easy to install and operate, and delivers real impact, improving efficiency and lowering emissions across a wide range of vessel types.
