This morning at Innovation for Health it was announced that Capsule Photonics won the Venture Challenge! At Capsule Photonics we are developing a pill-sized camera for the early detection of esophageal cancer, that creates microscopy-like images where cancer biomarkers are highlighted. Anouk Post, Johannes F. de Boer, PhD, Wouter Nagengast, Ties van Rappard represented Capsule Photonics as a team during the Venture Challenge. Capsule Photonics secured a 40.000 Euro Take-Off grant that enables us to take important steps towards commercialization of our innovative capsule endoscope. At Capsule Photonics we are developing a pill-sized camera with advanced imaging techniques for the early detection of esophageal cancer. After years of scientific research we are now taking the step towards commercialization so we can bring this new technology to the hospital and impact the lives of patients.
