    Data Analyst

Working with data has a way of showing you things you wouldn’t ordinarily notice. During the IWD 3-day free Data Analytics training by Nebiant Analytics, I analysed sales data from Style & Glow Mart, a retail brand selling fashion and accessories. The dashboard covered product sales, store performance, customer segments, and payment methods from 2022–2024. I used Excel 2016 for the data cleaning and analysis. After removing 1,056 duplicate records and confirming the data was clean and properly formatted, some interesting patterns started to show. Low and high-income customers made up nearly 70% of total sales. Middle-income customers also contributed well. This reminded me how important it is to know your actual customers and focus on serving them better with loyalty offers and tailored promotions. Bags, clothing, and hair accessories were the best-selling products. No surprise. These are essentials in a market like ours where people love to look good for owambes, work, church, and hangouts. This kind of insight helps a business stock up on what customers really want. Card payments led at 46.9%, followed by cash (33.2%) and online payments (19.9%). While digital payments are growing, cash is still relevant, and there’s a big opportunity to improve online payment adoption through discounts and exclusive deals. Store S003, S005, and S002 recorded the highest sales. These stores should get priority for promotions, stock, and customer rewards. This project wasn’t just about numbers, it was about the people behind them. Every sale reflects a decision on what to buy, how to pay, and where to shop. As a data analyst (and as a Nigerian shopper too), it reminded me that data isn’t about numbers alone, it is about people and how we can make better decisions. To every retail business out there - what’s your data trying to tell you? Are you listening? #DataStorytelling #RetailInsights #ExcelAnalytics #DataWithEmpathy #StyleAndGlowMart #LinkedInDataCommunity #NebiantAnalytics #IWD2025

I had no mentor. No roadmap. Just confusion and a dream. When I started learning data analytics, I didn’t know where to begin. There were too many resources, no real guidance, and zero clarity. I didn’t even understand what “cleaning data” meant. But I refused to stay stuck. Here’s what helped me find my way: 1. I chose one course and focused. No jumping around. I enrolled in Nebiant Analytics' 3-month program — it's been a game changer. 2. I got serious with Excel. It’s not just basic stuff — it’s the core of everything else. 3. I practiced with free datasets. Small projects built my confidence. 4. I started showing up — even when I didn’t feel ready. If you're feeling overwhelmed or lost, I get it. And if you're looking for the right learning environment, Nebiant Analytics is a great place to start. They gave me structure when I had none. Everyone starts somewhere. Don’t wait to feel ready. Just start. Are you on a data journey too? What’s been your biggest challenge? Let’s connect and grow together. #CareerGrowthwithLemuel #DataAnalytics #DataScience #CareerGrowth #LearningJourney #PublicHealth #DataDriven #AnalyticsJourney #NebiantAnalytics #CareerDevelopment
