PRESS STATEMENT!!! Maina & Kids Children Foundation Hosts Award Ceremony to Celebrate Outstanding Contributions Dutse, Nigeria – 27th March, 2025 – Today, at the headquarters of Maina & Kids Children Foundation, an inspiring Mini Award Ceremony was held to honor individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the foundation's programs and initiatives. The ceremony was led by Gambo Maina Bawa, Executive Director of the Foundation. Among those recognized were: 1. Stacey Musa Bala – Awarded as Program Support Intern/Volunteer, with a scholarship to attend a Digital Literacy Course at TechLounge Echelon Ltd, to further develop her skills and contribute more effectively to the foundation's mission. 2. Abubakar Isa and Victoria Auta – Case officers who showed exceptional dedication and compassion in supporting Zainab Abubakar during her 90-day hospitalization. Their tireless efforts in ensuring Zainab received the care she needed were commendable and truly appreciated. 3. Dico Donald Photography – Recognized for outstanding Support and contributions to the foundation’s photography and media efforts, which have helped to document the foundation's events and make a significant impact in raising awareness. Gambo Maina Bawa, Executive Director of Maina & Kids Children Foundation, expressed his gratitude to the awardees, saying, “These individuals and organizations have gone above and beyond in their service to the foundation. Today’s ceremony is a small way for us to acknowledge their dedication and commitment to empowering vulnerable children and making a difference in their lives. We are incredibly proud of their contributions.” The foundation remains committed to its mission of improving the lives of children in need through education, health initiatives, and community support. This event serves as a reminder of the collective efforts required to create lasting change. Celebrating Excellence: Stacey Musa Bala Shines at IWD 2025! We are beyond proud to celebrate Stacey Musa Bala, one of the outstanding participants at the International Women’s Day 2025 event! Her dedication, passion, and remarkable performance caught the attention of our Executive Director, who gifted her N5,000 as a token of encouragement. But that’s not all! International Women’s Day 2025: “Accelerate Action” On this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD 2025), The Girl Child Project Team, in collaboration with GALS Voices, empowered young girls with the tools to visualize their future and take daily steps toward success! Vision Board Workshop – Teaching girls how to map out their dreams and work towards them every day Strength Circle Sessions – Building confidence and resilience in a safe, supportive space Teaching & Mentorship – Equipping them with the right mindset and guidance to chase their goals A huge well done to our Project Manager at The Girl Child Program, Hannatu Balarabe Saidu, and the Founder & Executive Director of GALS Voices, Fatima Tijjani Hussain, and their team members for their dedication and leadership!
