You've probably seen or heard about the Netflix series Adolescence. We’re witnessing a surge in young boys embracing toxic, misogynistic ideologies—fuelled by online echo chambers, extremist influencers & unchecked misinformation. This isn’t just ‘teen rebellion’, it’s a pipeline to gender-based violence.
This isn’t just an online problem. Boys aren’t just picking up harmful ideas from YouTube—they’re absorbing them from a wider society that continues to devalue women. The Andrew Tates of the world are actively grooming boys into believing that women exist to serve them, that they ‘owe’ them sex, and that power comes from control.
🔥 The solution? Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE)!
CSE is about respect, consent, critical thinking & equality. It teaches boys to reject these harmful narratives before they take root, where relationships are built on mutual respect, not entitlement.
Sometimes referred to as CSE, sexuality education, or life skills, our partners across the world are delivering exactly this kind of essential education to young boys and girls. Yet, even this is under attack—targeted by right-wing governments that would rather push harmful ideologies than protect young people’s rights, safety, and futures.
CSE and feminism are deeply interconnected because both are about equality, empowerment, and dismantling harmful power structures.
Feminism is for men, too. Too many boys feel alienated from these conversations, left searching for belonging in all the wrong places. We need to show them that feminism isn’t about exclusion. It's about liberation. For everyone.
