The AMCA Asia insite Seminar 2025 (India) was held successfully on March 28th at the Crowne Plaza New Delhi Okhla Hotel. It was attended by over 80 attendees, ranging from Government, Authorities, Consultants, End-Users, Manufacturers as well as AMCA members from India. The seminar was kick-started by Mr Asokdas, Vice President of the AMCA Board and Managing Director of Systemair India, with an opening speech providing an overview of AMCA and the advocacy work done by the AMCA India Advocacy Work-group. Ms Pravatanalini Samal, Director of BEE, graced our event and gave a very insightful Keynote speech. Thereafter, her colleague, Mr Mayankraj Prajapat, gave an overview on ECSBC on their work on Fans selection requirements. As this seminar marks a major milestone in our advocacy work in India, the topics predominantly revolves around Fan Energy Index (FEI), Fans and Dampers. 1. Basics of Fan Energy Index (FEI) and How It Promotes Energy Conservation & Efficiency in Fan System Design by Mr CK So, Director of Regional Affairs, Asia AMCA 2. Evolution of Fan Energy Efficiency Standards for Building HVAC Systems in India, Mr Sushil Choudhury, Managing Director, Blowtech Air Devices 3. Introduction to Life Safety Dampers and Their Applications by Mr Ajay Kumar, Product Vertical Head – Dampers, Greenheck India 4. Fan Array & FEI by Mr Vikas Kundra, Managing Director, Ziehl-Abegg India 5. Fan Engineering Basics I & II: Balance & Vibration, Fan Noise by Mr Rad Ganesh (Ph.D. P.E.), Senior Global Staff Engineer, Twin City Fan Throughout the entire seminar, the discussions between the speakers and the attendees were very forthcoming and engaging. The discussions actually spill over to coffee breaks and lunch. The AMCA Asia insite Seminar 2025 (India) was a very successful one, marking a significant milestone in AMCA's India advocacy work as India being the first country to include FEI into their codes standard in the Asia region.
