About Nathan Hartono
Nathan Hartono’s long road to stardom—from boy next door to Singapore heart-throb—began at age 15 with victory in 2005’s Teenage Icon competition. Solo albums like 2009’s Realise and his self-titled 2012 EP featured his soft, keening folk sounds. In 2016, his deep run on reality competition Sing! China garnered him a legion of fans bewitched by his magnetic, husky vocals and winsome acoustics. Meanwhile, “Electricity’s” R&B and city pop sounds marked Nathan’s evolving musical sensibility. It was the latest twist in the Mandopop star’s long-haul journey into mainstream consciousness.
