Mobis Technical Center of India(Hyundai Mobis R &D)'s officially expanded our presence in Hyderabad, India’s very own Silicon Valley, with a new integrated software research center dedicated to advancing automotive software innovation. As India’s SUV and EV markets continue to grow, the demand for next-gen technologies like ADAS and large in-vehicle displays is rapidly increasing. Formed through the merging of two existing R&D centers, this upgraded facility is now equipped to take on an even greater role as a global base for software and hardware integration, strengthening Hyundai MOBIS' capabilities to meet rising global demand. Starting this year, Hyundai MOBIS is utilizing ‘low-carbon aluminum’ into key components manufacturing.   Low-carbon aluminum is an aluminum that is produced using solar energy in order to cut carbon emissions by almost 25% than the regular ones.   To stay ahead of global environmental regulations, we made a new supply agreement with Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), and secured 15,000 tons of low-carbon aluminum.   As part of our ESG initiative, we will continue to work on reducing carbon emissions by utilizing products as low-carbon aluminum and accelerate our journey towards carbon neutrality. #HyundaiMOBIS #LeadMobility #MoveBeyondPossibilities #Sustainability #ESG

Meet Louis Aguilar, R&D Senior Manager of the Lamp Group at MOBIS Technical Center of America. With nearly three decades in automotive lighting, he is at the forefront of innovation in headlamp and tail lamp technology. At CES 2025, Louis and his team introduced two mobility solutions, Microcylindrical Lens (MCL) and Diffusive LED (DLED), technologies set to transform the future of vehicle lighting. A key player in the expansion of MOBIS Technical Center of America, Louis spearheaded the company’s first Volkswagen project and broadened its reach to include Rivian. Now, he’s focused on building a fully autonomous lighting team, driving advancements from concept to production.
