CJ CheilJedang’s Cuisine.K program is connecting rising Korean chefs with global culinary icons — most recently, the legendary chef Pierre Gagnaire. 🧑🍳 As part of the networking event “Pierre Gagnaire & Cuisine.K Young Chefs: Pairing Perrier-Jouët Champagne with Korean Cuisine,” young chefs met with chef Gagnaire to present a creative course menu that blended traditional Korean ingredients with French cuisine. Led by Michelin-awarded chef Shin Yong-joon, Team Cuisine.K earned high praise from chef Gagnaire who stated, “If this were a restaurant, I would definitely come back.” Cuisine.K, launched in 2023, has supported over 200 emerging chefs and continues to grow as part of CJ’s mission to globalize K-food and nurture young culinary talent. CJ CheilJedang is creating meaningful career opportunities for students from top universities like Columbia and MIT through its global academic partnership.🎓🌍 As part of the newly launched Global Top-Tier Academic Partnership program, 60 MBA students from Columbia and MIT visited CJ CheilJedang’s headquarters in March to explore the company’s global business strategy, connect with leadership and tour key facilities, including the CJ ENM Studio Center and an Olive Young store. CJ Group has pledged 500 million KRW (approximately 341,000 USD) to assist recovery efforts in regions affected by recent wildfires in Korea, including the Gyeongsang and Ulsan areas. The donation, delivered through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, will aid displaced residents and frontline responders in the affected communities. CJ affiliates are also actively contributing to relief efforts on the ground. CJ CheilJedang has donated 10,000 ready-to-eat meals and snacks; CJ Foodville has supplied 10,000 breads and beverages through TOUS les JOURS; and CJ Olive Young has donated gift certificates worth 100 million KRW (approximately 68,000 USD) to support affected residents.
