🤝𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫 🤝 A devastating earthquake has recently struck Myanmar, leaving many families in a difficult situation. Homes have been damaged, and entire communities have been affected by the destruction. With 27 offices across 20 countries, Myanmar is one of the places where we have a presence. In response, Archetype Group is organizing a donation drive to support those in need. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can help provide essential items and bring comfort during this time. The funds will go towards purchasing essential items and providing aid to those directly affected by the disaster. 𝐀 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚 ✨🏗️ Archetype Cambodia recently collaborated with Enfants du Mekong to organize a special office visit and site tour for students, allowing them to see how #architecture works in practice. This experience helped them connect what they learned in school and the real-world process of designing and constructing buildings. 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲: 🔹A tour of our office gave students a closer look at how we work and who we are. They met our team, learned about the #design process, and explored the tools and technologies we use to transform concepts into reality. 🔹A visit to The National Assembly of Cambodia, one of our latest completed projects! The #students learned about the #inspiration behind the design and stepped inside to see how ideas turn into a functional space. A big thank you to the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮 for their support in making this happen, and to everyone on the team who helped organize this inspiring day.

𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐮! On March 05, the 𝗗𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 officially kicked off with its groundbreaking ceremony! This marked the beginning of a transformative logistics hub in Kompong Speu Province. Developed by 𝗙𝗪𝗜 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮) 𝗖𝗼., 𝗟𝘁𝗱, this 23,580 sqm facility will feature a warehouse and office building, setting a new benchmark for trade and logistics. Strategically located to boost regional and global connectivity, the project will streamline cargo movement, reduce costs, and create opportunities for local businesses and communities. 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫: 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐨 Sopha So, an architect with Archetype Cambodia for 10 years, has worked on a diverse range of projects, including residential, high-rise mixed-use, hospitality, and industrial developments across multiple locations. Today, she shares her experiences and insights as an architect working on such a wide variety of projects. 𝗤: 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀. I start by understanding the client’s vision. We review their requirements, study the surrounding environment, and immerse ourselves in the culture and history to make the design meaningful. Then, we follow industry standards, collaborate with engineers, and bring it all together in a functional layout that meets both the client's vision and practical needs. 𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘁? 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗮: The hardest part is balancing the client’s vision with real-world limits like budget, timelines, and site conditions. Every project has its challenges, so it’s about finding solutions that work without losing what makes the design special. Communication is a big part of that—having open conversations with clients and the team ensures that everyone is on the same page and that expectations are aligned. In the end, it’s all about staying flexible and figuring things out that’s what makes the design process work. I always try to incorporate eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems, and designs that blend with the natural environment.
