JOB MISSION
The Retail Learning Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing training and other initiatives dedicated and focused on elevating the client experience across all stores and channels including but not limited to facilitation, content creation, measures of success, etc.
You will be the first retail learning member in Japan reporting directly into the country manager with a dotted line to the US.
THE ROLE
Analysis and Planning
Analyze business-critical KPI’s such as SPT, Conversion, etc to develop Japan retail learning strategy and get alignment with global and local retail leaders.
Develop and own learning calendar, learning budget and learning KPIs for Japan market
Design and Delivery
Creation and localization of learning materials from improving existing content to developing new instructional design based on client experience evolution
Own new hire on-boarding and new store opening training experience: ranging from content creation & program development, new hire communication templates, checklists, etc.
Own skillset training programs incl. client service, mix & match, selling skills etc.
Develop and implement training modules for evolving CRM/Technology tools
Support product initiatives in partnership with retail network and buying team
Explore and lead new training topics such as retail leadership workshops
Assessment and Evaluation
Measure impact of L&D programs through assessment and surveys; analyze key findings and suggest ways to increase comprehension and training impact
Determine ways to impart knowledge to our teams to best operationalize our values
Collaboration and Partnership
Partners with the Talent team to create a learning vision for a scaling retail organization
Strong functional partner within areas of cvm, communications, operations, loss prevention, safety, merchandising
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
5+ years of experience as retail trainer
Working experience in Fashion/Retail industry, luxury retail is preferred
Advanced PC skills (proficient using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and the Internet)
Japanese native level, good interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Good creative, analytic, problem solving and organizational abilities
Comfortable with multi-tasking/working on multiple projects at a time, can manage time with priorities and to-do tasks; problem solving mindset and self-starter
Strong adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness
Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decision
