Department Overview

The EC Solution Development Department's mission is to promote and expand the diversity of the marketplace. The team develops tools and services essential for the operation of merchants on Rakuten Ichiba, while also working on the expansion of various EC services and the launch of new EC services.

The Marketplace Expansion Development Section develops and operates services such as the J.League Online Store, Furusato Nozei (Hometown Tax), Rakken, and Raxy. Additionally, the team is responsible for launching new EC-related services with the goal of expanding and growing Rakuten's marketplace. This is a highly challenging department where you can gain unique and valuable experiences that are distinct to Rakuten.

Why We Hire

We are planning to launch a new e-commerce service and are looking for a QA Lead to join our team.

Our development and QA teams are distributed across multiple locations, including Japan and China. As the QA Lead, you will collaborate with these teams to lead quality assurance efforts for each project.

In addition, you will work closely with the QA Manager to design and manage quality assurance processes and contribute to the management and development of team members.

Position Details

• Design and management of quality assurance processes
• Management and leadership of the QA team
• Oversight and management of QA groups and teams
• Execution and supervision of testing activities
• Analysis of quality data and preparation of reports
• Improvement, standardization, and promotion of test process automation
• Review and provide feedback on test specifications and test cases
• Analysis and reporting of QA data
• Collaboration with stakeholders
• Risk management from a quality assurance perspective
• Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in the QA field
  
  

Mandatory Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Jenkins, etc.
• Proven experience in designing and managing quality assurance processes
• Experience in creating, reviewing, and managing test plans and test cases
• Experience in team leadership or project management
• Proficiency in using defect management tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• QA experience across front-end, back-end, and mobile applications
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in API/UI test automation development and non-functional testing
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members in both Japanese and English
• Knowledge and experience in the internet services industry
• Knowledge and experience in e-commerce services
• Understanding of ISTQB Foundation Level concepts
• QA experience in Agile development and DevOps environments
