【本ポジションについて】

PX Business Partner, Retail will work closely with regional retail leaders, Talent Manager and PX Generalist to

execute on various HR initiatives aligned with retail specific goals and strategic priorities under the direction of

Manager, PX Business Partner.


【業務内容(職責)】

■ PX Partnership (35%)

• Provide insights and advice from the PX perspective and support employee base while building

and maintaining professional partnership with regional retail leaders to understand their business goals, strategic objectives, structures and people needs.

• Lead the communication, rollout and change management of PX programs and policies to retail

stores. Advise on the interpretation of policies.

• Facilitate the rollout of routine processes, including performance management, annual contract

renewal and goal setting. Provide guidance to managers to support and resolve complex

performance management.

• Provide insights and feedback from retail team to PX colleagues to ensure thorough and

accurate understanding of retail business priorities and our diverse employees

• Embed and drive diversity, equity and inclusion principles and Deckers value in all people practices.

• Support regional retail leaders and Manager, PX Business Partner with Compensation & Benefit including but not limited to annual merit/bonus process, retail sales incentive program and salary adjustment.


■ Talent Management with Regional Retail Leaders (35%)

• Partner with Talent team to identify learning needs and support the team to execute training and L&D initiatives.

• Identify the area of opportunities for retail employees and then create and carry out a talent development plan in line with their grades and ensure right people in right place, to support

their business strategic priorities under the direction of Manager, PX Business Partner.

• Identify signals in the organization through formal and informal means, i.e. listening/regular connection, analysis of employee surveys & data to increase employee engagement and retention; identify root causes before issues arise and/or gaps widen.


■Employee Relations (30%)

• Lead internal employee relations efforts under the direction of the Manager, PX Business

Partner

• Partner with client managers and employees to assess work-related issues that adversely affect employee morale and organizational productivity.

• Work closely with regional retail leaders to resolve work-related issues by providing guidance,

coaching and direction according to company practice.

• Ensure compliance of local practices with all applicable Japanese labor related laws, working

closely with Manager, PX Business and external labor and social security attorney.

【Education/ Experience】

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Over 3-5 years experiences in related HR fields or retail field including but not limited to

performance management, organizational development, and employee relations.

• Demonstrated experience influencing and establishing trusting partnerships

• Experience working for fashion/lifestyle/footwear company in retail industry would be a plus

• A collaborative, humble, and team-minded HR professional who see the big picture while working deeply in the details.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in Japanese

• High degree of integrity with the ability to handle confidential and sometimes highly sensitive information in an appropriate manner.

• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, scaling, and agile environment, navigate ambiguity and drive continuous improvement.

• Ability to travel up to 25% of time to visit stores and meet employees in person

• Coaching skills preferred
