A - Role Description

A Practice Architect is a senior-level role in Solution Architecture. Their primary responsibility is to lead and oversee the planning, design, and implementation of technology best practices, ensuring that all aspects align with the organization’s strategic goals and standards.

B - Key Missions

• Ensure technical alignment with business objectives (for company and for customers).

• Reduce technical debt by promoting best practices (from design to delivery standard).

• Enable innovation by introducing and integrating cutting-edge technologies.

C - Key Responsibilities

• Practice Development: Design and implement end-to-end practices (technology best practices, solutions, tools, processes) of Cloud, Automation.

• Pre-sales Support: Take charge of solution development, work breakdown structure development and corresponding estimation in bidding phase. Promote practices to customers (both internal and external)

• Project Delivery: Involve as key roles in projects with customers, support project team to implement projects which aligned and followed technology best practices.

D - Success Profiles

Knowledge

• Architecture and Design Patterns: Expertise in software architecture (e.g., microservices, eventdriven systems, and serverless architecture). Deep understanding of automation-friendly architecture frameworks and patterns (e.g., Infrastructure as Code, self-healing systems).

• Automation and DevOps: Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform). Familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism). Deep understanding of cloud-native automation services and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

• Security and Compliance: Knowledge of secure AI, automation, and data systems (e.g., data governance, GDPR, SOC 2). Familiarity with automation for compliance monitoring and reporting.

• Emerging Technologies: Awareness of cutting-edge trends in automation (e.g., hyper-automation, low-code/no-code platforms) and their integration with AI and data systems. Familiarity with technologies like edge computing, IoT automation, and generative AI (e.g., LLMs, GANs).

Experience

• Technical Leadership: 10+ years in software engineering or technology roles, with at least 5 years in architecture leadership, covering data, AI, and automation.

• Cloud and DevOps Automation: Delivered automated cloud infrastructure and AI systems leveraging tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure DevOps. Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML and data workflows.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working closely with stakeholders across engineering, data science, operations, and business functions to deliver automation and AI solutions.

• Mentorship: Guided engineering teams, data scientists, and automation specialists to adopt best practices in AI, data engineering, and automation.
