"Feature extraction" is often the most time-consuming and challenging process in data science and AI projects. However, extracting patterns from data that address business challenges is crucial for discovering business insights and improving the accuracy of AI and machine learning models. dotData's products combine feature engineering automation technology with automated machine learning (AutoML) to automate the primary processes of data science.​

To date, we have received support from various investors, including NEC, JAFCO, Goldman Sachs, Otsuka Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. Through Series A and B funding rounds, we have raised a total of $74.6 million (approximately 10 billion yen at the time) to expand our operations in Japan and the United States.​

Founded by Japanese entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, we aim to become a leading product company globally by leveraging Japan-originated AI technologies and various other technologies.​

Position Overview:

We are seeking passionate data scientists to join our newly established "Data Science Delivery Team," which focuses on executing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and trials, as well as delivering paid services to clients. In this role, you will build optimal solutions using data analysis, machine learning, deep learning, and other techniques to support clients' data-driven decision-making. Collaborating with technically skilled pre-sales, customer success managers, and partners, you will support clients from delivery to operation, aiming to build long-term relationships. In the future, you may also be involved in service development and new business creation in the data science field.​

Responsibilities:

• Conduct data analysis and develop machine learning models based on client challenges.​
• Plan, execute, and evaluate PoCs and trials.​
• Create reports and presentations based on data analysis results.​
• Provide technical explanations and proposals to clients.​
• Offer technical support for the implementation of paid services.​
• Contribute to enhancing the technical capabilities of the delivery team.​

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of practical experience in data analysis and modeling using Python or similar languages.​
• Over 2 years of experience in building models using machine learning and deep learning.​
• Ability to define requirements and provide technical explanations to clients.​
• Experience in project progress and issue management.​
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese.​

Preferred Qualifications:

• Consulting experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (TOEIC score of 800 or higher is a guideline).​
• Certifications related to data science (e.g., GCP, AWS, Statistical Examination).​
• Experience in publishing papers or presenting at academic conferences.​
• Experience in machine learning development in cloud environments.​
