  • Quadtree Scene Management

    Final project in Real Time of Computer Graphics course.
    This project implements quadtree technique to the walkthrough of a group of moving mummies. This project shows how quadtree is split into 4 recursively based on the number of mummies in each node and how quadtree optimizes the collision detection between mummies.     Final project in Real Time of Computer Graphics course.
    This project implements quadtree technique to the walkthrough of a group of moving mummies. This project shows how quadtree is split into 4 recursively based on the number of mummies in each node and how quadtree optimizes the collision detection between mummies. This project starts with a group of mummies walking around and colliding with each other. A yellow sphere will appear on top of the mummies that are collided with another mummy. Users can turn the quadtree off and on and add mummies during the walkthrough. ‘Z’ key to turn quadtree on and off, ‘A’ key to add a mummy and ‘S’ key to add a specific number of mummies. User is also allowed to move a mummy around using keyboard arrow and collide this mummy with other walking mummies to remove them from the walkthrough. FPS, number of objects drawn, number of nodes drawn, quadtree mode and a short user manual will be displayed on the top left corner during the walkthrough.
