Japanese follows Today we are pleased to announce the development of our LLM-based causal knowledge extraction technology, CKE-LLM(Causal Knowledge Extraction LLM), and the official supply of the MSD Manual (Merck Manual), a historical and trusted source of data in the healthcare domain. This functionality is provided as a service of the Causal AI “xCausal™” offered by VELDT Inc. With “xCausal™,” Causal Discovery, Causal Inference, and robustness test can be used seamlessly with no code. In general, Causal Discovery is a difficult technique to generate a perfect causal graph, but it is known to increase accuracy by pre-setting known causal relationships. The CEK-LLM we have developed extracts causal relationships from trusted data sources through LLM and allows users to make final judgments and utilize them, thus enabling Causal Discovery with a higher degree of confidence. In this research collaboration between DNP, Yamato Sylpheed, and Daiko, the focus is on visualizing the causal relationships within "condition data" - a combination of daily metrics such as the female-specific "menstrual cycle," vital signs like heart rate, respiration, and body temperature, as well as factors like sleep patterns and nutritional balance, along with performance data from training and matches. xCausal™ has been adopted as an analytical tool to estimate causal relationships and discover solutions. Unlike typical AI systems that derive correlations, xCausal™ is a novel AI that incorporates an understanding of causality, answering questions like "why did this outcome occur?" and "what can be done to improve it?" This makes it more accessible for human understanding and application. Particularly in fields where immediate understanding of causality is crucial and beneficial, xCausal™ can quickly estimate causal relationships from data, even without acquiring evidence, thus proving effective in identifying causes promptly. xCausal™ is being adopted in a variety of fields to address social issues that have been difficult to solve until now.
