🎉 As the year comes to a close, we are excited to share some highlights from 2024 for Planet Savers, Japan’s first Direct Air Capture (DAC) startup! 🚀 🌟 Key Achievements: - Secured a ¥500M grant (~$3.5M) from NEDO's "GX Deep-Tech Startups Support Program" to fund our R&D and scaling for the next 2 years. - Partnered with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government through a ¥120M PoC (~$800K) project under the Tokyo Bay eSG Project. - Honored to join DAC Academy, hosted by Cleantech Open Northeast / ACT, as the only non-North American startup. 📈 Growth Highlights: - Raised ¥250M (~$1.7M) in seed funding from JAFCO & Spiral Capital, covered in Nikkei. - Added industry leaders like Daniel Egger and Carlos Haertel as advisors. - Grew our team with top-tier engineers to 10 members strong! 🔬 Tech Updates: - Operated our DAC bench system (10kg/day) since June, capturing valuable learnings. - Targeting a scalable DAC prototype by 2025.
