    IWD Month has Ended, but Our D&I Spirit is Here to Stay! ✨ March came to an end earlier this week, and at LIXIL, this has meant that we’ve wrapped up our International Women’s Day 2025 global campaign. Keeping with IWD’s 2025 theme, #ForALLWomenAndGirls, we released exclusive IWD content for our employees, and held various events across our regional offices. The key themes we focused on this year were health, women in power, and institutional mechanisms - we organized educational seminars, and fitness and nutrition events to promote women’s physical and mental health; we set up panel discussions that directly addressed the importance of women in leadership and the role of male allies; and we shared content that discussed the significance of institutional mechanisms such as ERGs in creating a culture of inclusion 🏡 International Women’s Day has always held significance for us at LIXIL because we believe that it creates an opportunity to reaffirm our D&I commitment and remind our people about the reasons behind this choice. We are able to stay true to our Purpose of “Making Better Homes a Reality for Everyone, Everywhere,” when this “everyone” acknowledges the diversity in our societies and the differential needs it creates. As we continue to grow, we want to serve our communities better, and to do this our innovations must understand these multitude of needs.     International cooperation and global partnerships are critical to tackling water, sanitation and hygiene challenges. It was my great honor to speak at the recent “International Symposium on Water and Disaster for Cooperation and Partnership”, sharing LIXIL’s activities in front of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and other global experts. I had the opportunity to introduce our approach and initiatives, including our award-winning social business "SATO" as well as our collaboration on the cutting-edge standalone toilet technology “Generation 2 Reinvented Toilet”. Speaking as the only representative from the private sector demonstrated the progress that LIXIL is making on WASH issues, but also the importance of public-private partnership. At LIXIL, we are working to realize our corporate purpose to“Make Better Homes A Reality For Everyone, Everywhere”, we will continue addressing water and disaster issues around the world.
