Inside ZERO🚀 ZERO’s Blue-Flamed Engine is Powered by Renewable Bio-Methane ZERO’s engine, COSMOS, is powered by Liquid Biomethane (LBM) and Liquid Oxygen (LOX), giving its flame a distinctive blue hue instead of the usual red, just as seen in the video from last year’s static engine test. Liquid methane is an ideal rocket fuel, valued for its clean-burning properties, ease of handling, and cost efficiency compared to other common propellants. At Interstellar, we take it a step further. We are proud to be the first private company to fuel a launch vehicle with liquid biomethane, a renewable fuel. Our methane is sustainably sourced by repurposing cattle manure from the nearby local farms. The waste is processed in a partner LBM plant, where it is transformed into biogas and ultimately refined into liquid biomethane, fueling ZERO and paving the way for more sustainable spaceflight. This initiative not only contributes to carbon neutrality but also supports local energy self-sufficiency and promotes environmentally friendly regional development. Inside ZERO🚀 A view inside the boxes that protect ZERO’s brain This is ZERO’s Avionics Box, designed and manufactured in-house by Interstellar to house the rocket’s avionics or the “brain” of the vehicle. These electronic systems, powered by sophisticated software, guide the rocket throughout its flight, determining its trajectory. Though it may look like just a metal box, it is engineered to withstand the extreme conditions of launch, including intense vibration and heat, which could otherwise damage the avionics. Contrary to what many might assume, a rocket’s intelligence isn’t centralized in a single unit. Instead, its “brains” are distributed across multiple components. In ZERO’s case, dozens of Avionics Boxes work together to ensure precise navigation and control. Take a closer look at the intricate craftsmanship in these pictures! #interstellartechnologies #space #rocket #avionics #avionicsbox #newspace #launcher #development

Inside ZERO🚀 The Story Behind ZERO’s Name Continuing our #InsideZERO series, where we explore the core concepts behind ZERO’s development, this installment focuses on something fundamental yet deeply significant—its name. When naming ZERO, we wanted something memorable and cool-sounding, but also rich in meaning. As a vehicle designed to launch satellites into orbit, its name reflects the elliptical path satellites take around Earth—forming the shape of a zero (0). Beyond that, ZERO represents a starting point. Since we’re building this rocket from the ground up as a private company, its name embodies the idea of beginning from scratch and pushing boundaries from step one. Stay tuned for more insights into the journey behind ZERO! 🚀 Learn more about ZERO: https://lnkd.in/g6m5rrmZ #InterstellarTechnologies #Rocket #Space #Satellite #Universe
