Another exciting update from ispace-U.S.! ispace and Zeno Power Systems, Inc., a pioneer in nuclear power for space applications, have signed an agreement with the goal to be the first to address NASA’s challenge and explore the integration of Zeno Power’s radioisotope power systems, (RPS) into future lunar missions. Unlike solar panels and batteries, RPS provide continuous, reliable heat and electricity, regardless of solar availability, making them ideal for enabling a “survive the lunar night” capability.

The RESILIENCE lander is currently approx. 640,000 km from Earth as it continues on its journey! With operations rehearsals and trainings ongoing, even throughout the mission, ispace engineers continue to fine-tune their processes. This week, engineers in our HAKUTO-R Mission Control Center (MCC) in Tokyo and Mission Control Room (MCR) in Luxembourg have been working together to integrate even their most recent learnings to ensure TENACIOUS is robust and efficient in its surface operations once it gets to the Moon! RESILIENCE is currently traveling at approx. 2,900 km/h in the low energy transfer phase of its orbit as it continues in deep space cruise. #ispace #HAKUTO_R #VentureMoon #RESILIENCE #M2Updates

The RESILIENCE lander is currently approx. 825,000 km from Earth as it continues on its journey! ispace engineers take operations rehearsals very seriously—almost as serious as actually flying RESILIENCE! Rehearsals are an opportunity for our engineers to practice, in as real of a way as possible, what will happen during important flight activities. They take place in preparation for the mission, but also continue even during the mission to help make sure our engineers are sharp for the next big activities. The next rehearsal will be this week! RESILIENCE is currently traveling at approx. 2,268 km/h in the low energy transfer phase of its orbit as it continues in deep space cruise. #ispace #HAKUTO_R #VentureMoon #RESILIENCE #M2Updates
