We’re proud of Sadeen for bringing the voices of girls in conflict zones to the global stage at CSW. At Plan International Jordan, we continue to support every girl demanding justice, dignity, and the right to lead.

Nada, 9 years old, is one of hundreds of children who lost their homes and now live in worn-out tents, enduring the harsh reality of displacement. At the start of the psychosocial support sessions under the Gaza Emergency Relief project, Nada sat silently in a corner, avoiding eye contact—even with her siblings. She appeared anxious and withdrawn, refusing to engage with other children. Then, during an art session, she picked up the colors and started to draw—a small house, a tree, and a wide blue sky. When asked about her drawing, she whispered, "This was our home before it was destroyed. One day, we will return." Day by day, she changed. She participated more, connected with other children, and discovered her strength. By the end of the sessions, she stood before the group and confidently said, "I learned that I am not alone and that I can be strong even when I feel afraid." Nada is not alone. Hundreds of children like her carry hope in their hearts despite the pain. The photo below highlights a recreational activity from the Gaza Emergency Relief project, led by Plan International in collaboration with Taawon (Welfare Association) and ACHA, offering psychosocial support to war-affected children and displaced families in Deir al-Balah. Through clown performances, dancing, and play-based sessions in safe spaces, the initiative helps ease trauma, rebuild resilience, and restore joy, empowering children to heal and reconnect despite ongoing adversity. ندى، 9 سنوات، واحدة من مئات الأطفال الذين فقدوا منازلهم ويعيشون الآن في خيام ويواجهون قسوة النزوح. في بداية جلسات الدعم النفسي ضمن مشروع الإغاثة الطارئة في غزة، كانت ندى تجلس بصمت في زاوية، تتجنب النظر إلى الآخرين، حتى إلى إخوتها. بدت خائفة ومتوترة، ولم تشارك مع الأطفال. ثم، خلال جلسة الرسم، أمسكت بالألوان وبدأت ترسم: بيتًا صغيرًا، شجرة، وسماء واسعة زرقاء. عندما سألناها عن الرسم، همست: "هاد بيتنا قبل ما يتدمر. راح نرجع عليه بيوم من الأيام." يومًا بعد يوم، بدأ التغير يصبح ملحوظًا على ندى، أصبحت تشارك أكثر وتتفاعل مع الأطفال كما أنها اكتشفت قوتها. في نهاية الجلسات، وقفت أمام الجميع وقالت بثقة: "تعلّمت أنني لست وحدي، ويمكنني أن أكون قوية حتى عندما أشعر بالخوف". ندى ليست وحدها. هناك مئات الأطفال مثلها، يحملون في قلوبهم الأمل رغم الألم. تُمثل الصورة أدناه إحدى الأنشطة الترفيهية ضمن مشروع الإغاثة الطارئة في غزة، الذي تقوده بلان إنترناشونال بالتعاون مع مؤسسة تعاون وجمعية عبد الصافي للصحة المجتمعية، لتقديم الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي للأطفال المتأثرين بالحرب والعائلات النازحة في دير البلح.

In these days, as the injustice endured by the people of Gaza grows, we shine a light on the women who bring hope, patience, and everything they have to give for their families. Today, we honor Latifa from Gaza—a mother who lost her husband and children in the bombing, but never lost her will.   Despite the pain of losing her husband and children, Latifa wakes up every day to feed and care for her remaining children, giving them the strength she herself needs. Through grief and hardship, Latifa says, "Alhamdulillah (Praise God), God will not forget us." She avoids crowds, but she never steps away from her role as a mother. Her love remains unbroken, her strength unshaken. Today, we honor all mothers living like Latifa—those who keep moving forward despite all they have lost.   In the coming days, we will share Latifa’s full story. Stay tuned!   في هذه الأيام ومع تزايد الظلم الذي يعيشه أهل غزة، نسلّط الضوء على النساء اللاتي يمنحن الأمل والصبر وكل ما يستطعن لأسرهنّ، نكرّم اليوم السيدة لطيفة من غزة، وهي أم فقدت زوجها وأطفالها في القصف، لكنها لم تفقد إرادتها. رغم الألم الذي عاشته من فقدان زوجها وأولادها، تستيقظ لطيفة كل يوم لتطعم أطفالها الباقين وتعتني بهم، وتمنحهم القوة التي تحتاجها هي نفسها. رغم الألم والمعاناة، تقول لطيفة: "الحمد لله، ربنا ما بنسانا." تبتعد لطيفة عن التجمعات، لكنها لا تبتعد عن دورها كأم. حبها لا ينكسر، وقوتها لا تهتز. اليوم، نكرّم الأمهات اللاتي يعشن الحياة مثل لطيفة، واللاتي يواصلن الطريق رغم كل ما فقدن.   سنعرّفكم على قصة لطيفة في الأيام القادمة، تابعونا! 

Last week, Plan International Jordan and Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of representatives from both parties. This agreement aims to strengthen institutional cooperation and establish a strategic partnership in the areas of economic empowerment, capacity building, and community development. This collaboration seeks to support young men and women, as well as entrepreneurs, through a range of joint programs designed to equip them with technical, knowledge-based, and essential life skills. These initiatives will enhance their competitiveness in both local and global job markets, encourage active participation in their communities, and foster their ideas and initiatives. This partnership represents a significant step forward in expanding economic empowerment opportunities, solidifying a strategic alliance between the two institutions, and implementing impactful joint initiatives. قمنا الأسبوع الماضي بتوقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين بلان إنترناشونال الأردن وجامعة الحسين التقنية بحضور ممثلي الجانبين، بهدف تعزيز التعاون المؤسسي وإرساء شراكة استراتيجية في مجالات التمكين الاقتصادي، وبناء القدرات، وتنمية المجتمع.   يهدف هذا التعاون إلى دعم الشباب والشابات ورياديي الأعمال من خلال برامج مشتركة متنوعة تسهم في تزويدهم بالمهارات التقنية والمعرفية، إلى جانب مهارات الحياة الأساسية، مما يعزز قدرتهم التنافسية في سوق العمل المحلي والعالمي، ويدعم مشاركتهم الفاعلة في مجتمعاتهم وتنمية أفكارهم ومبادراتهم.    تمثل هذه الشراكة خطوة رئيسية نحو تعزيز فرص التمكين الاقتصادي وتأسيس تعاون استراتيجي بين الطرفين وتنفيذ المبادرات المشتركة.

Plan International Jordan, in collaboration with Terre des hommes foundation and War Child, organized an event yesterday titled "Voices from Gaza's Most Vulnerable". The event aimed to shed light on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.   During the event, we launched Sadafah, an app that offers children’s stories inspired by Palestinian heritage. A short film was also screened, featuring messages from children in Gaza. This film was produced in collaboration with Terre des Hommes and War Child.   The event also featured a photo exhibition by a 24-year-old Palestinian artist from Gaza, sharing the pain and struggles of daily life in the region. Additionally, several interviews and video clips from Gaza were presented, offering a raw and unfiltered look at the suffering of children and women living under war.   At Plan International, we stand firmly in our commitment to amplifying the voices of civilians, children, and women in Gaza and sharing their stories with the world.   Stay tuned in the coming days to learn more about these initiatives. مناصرةً ودعمًا لأهلنا في غزة، نظّمت بلان إنترناشونال الأردن يوم أمس بالتعاون مع منظمة أرض الإنسان ومنظمة طفل الحرب فعاليةً بعنوان "أصوات من غزة" وذلك بهدف تسليط الضوء على المأساة الإنسانية في قطاع غزة. خلال الفعالية، تم إطلاق تطبيق صَدَفَة الذي يوفّر حكايات للأطفال مستلهمة من التراث الفلسطيني كما تم عرض فيلم قصير يحتوي على رسائل من أطفال غزة وقد إنتاجه بالتعاون مع منظمة أرض الإنسان ومنظمة طفل الحرب. كذلك، تضمّنت الفعالية معرض صورٍ من إنتاج فنانة فلسطينية تبلغ من العمر 24 عامًا وتقطن في قطاع غزة تشاركنا معاناة وآلام الحياة اليومية التي يعيشها سكّان القطاع، بالإضافة لعرض عدد من المقابلات والفيديوهات المصورة في غزة والتي تعرض الجانب الحقيقي للمعاناة التي يعيشها الأطفال والنساء في ظل الحرب.  نؤكد في بلان إنترناشونال على دعمنا وإيماننا بأهمية إيصال أصوات المدنيين والأطفال والنساء في قطاع غزة ورواية قصصهم.   تابعونا في الأيام القادمة لمعرفة المزيد حول هذه الإصدارات.

We are deeply saddened that a Al Rafi Health Center, run by our partner Juzoor in Jabalia, was destroyed yesterday in an airstrike in Gaza early morning. Thankfully all staff are safe but the centre, which served over 1,000 patients daily and provided children with lifesaving medical care, is severely damaged. Despite this, Juzoor for Health and Social Development are looking to continue services and have already begun relocating resources.  Health facilities should never be a target in conflict, there must be accountability for attacks against health facilities. Once again, we call for all parties to respect International Humanitarian Law and for a lasting ceasefire.
