Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that software quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices.
Oversee and participate in the development of test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes during the implementation process of new systems or system upgrades.
Coordinates and performs testing tasks required to assure that solutions meet functional specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.
Develops and implements automated tests for efficient and accurate execution of testing.
Communicates and liaises with application vendors or developers to ensure the desire solution is delivered.
Coordinate and participate in requirements review of new systems or enhancement requests to ensure appropriate quality guidelines and standards.
Provide subject matter expert support for the Reviews of Change Requests, including the documentation of release notes for business application changes and implementations; and provides support for complex escalated application issues.
Minimum Education, Competencies and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT field or equivalent working experience.
5 years’ experience in a Software QA leadership role including the development & execution of Test Plans for Enterprise business solutions
4-5 years’ experience in software engineering
Experienced in writing SQL database queries and analyzing data
Experience working in both Windows and Unix Operating System environments; MS-SQL & Oracle databases; Web enabled applications; Oracle WebLogic; and Report Writing Solutions
Working experience with financial institutions
Excellent consultative and interpersonal skills, maturity and judgement
Demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
Solution oriented with above average problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills; including technical documentation.
Sound time management and organizational skills, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-pace environment
The ability to simultaneously deal with a range of demands
