The day kicks off with a behind-the-scenes visit to the Simeon Structure & Facade System 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 responsible for some of the most sophisticated building envelopes—projects that perfectly capture this year’s 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 theme. I’m including a couple of sneak peeks in this post—detailed shots of two façade mock-ups we’ll be exploring up close. The tour then takes an unexpected turn... At 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗗𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗶, participants will immerse themselves in the heritage and flavors of the Piave region—through vineyard walks, cellar exploration, and a guided tasting of five estate wines. As part of the experience, we’ll also explore Ernest Hemingway’s connection to the area, with a look at the commemorative plaque dedicated to his time spent here during World War I. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you—technical, tactile, and rooted in place, blending architecture, culture, and community. I’m genuinely excited about this one! I can’t wait to share more about the full PBFD 2025 program next week. Stay tuned—this edition is shaping up to be something truly special, and the off-site activity will be open to just 50 participants!
