Six generations of passionate wine producers in the heart of Collio, Friuli
Chi siamo
// Passion and experience, these are the words that better describe the relationship between Roberto Felluga – 5th generation of far-sighted wine makers – and wine. A path that began more than 150 years ago in Istria and today leads to the very heart of Collio: an area of extraordinary beauty that, thanks to its climate and terroir, gives to our wines minerality, acidity, alcohol, longevity, structure and fruity scents. The Marco Felluga lion is an homage payed by Mr. Felluga himself to the Venetian Republic, which, in the 15th century, governed the fortified citadel of Gradisca d’Isonzo - current headquarters of the Estate. The two-headed eagle of Russiz Superiore, Marco Felluga’s cru, is a tribute to the Thurn und Taxis: one of the noble families that have done the history of these lands.

Wine Spectator rewards us once again! 🏆 Editor Alison Napjus recently published a tasting review of our RUSSIZ SUPERIORE CABERNET FRANC COLLIO DOC 2022 in the renowned magazine, awarding it a score of 92/100. Our label is described as follows: "Fresh and focused, this elegant, medium- to full-bodied red layers flavors of ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit, cured tobacco and milled white pepper with sculpted, supple tannins. Fluid and satinlike in texture on the palate, with a long, fragrant finish. Drink now through 2035." 🔗 Full coverage: https://lnkd.in/dU5iH-Zx #marcofelluga #russizsuperiore

The journalist Gina Birch recently published an article on Sunny 106.3, the blog of the renowned U.S. radio station, dedicated to wine events in Florida and a selection of wines to taste 🍷 Among them is our RUSSIZ SUPERIORE COLLIO CABERNET FRANC, which is described as follows: "Russiz Superiore is another unusual wine. You might not expect a 100% Cabernet Franc from Italy. However, it's the second most planted variety in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. This vineyard nestled on the border with Slovenia is known for its prized, older vine Cabernet Franc. I'm not sure I've ever called a Cabernet Franc fun and flirty but that is the feel I got from this. It has a lively and complex mouthfeel, balanced tannins, with red fruit and some black berry. It's versatile and goes with everything from grilled meats to cheee boards." 🔗 Full coverage: https://lnkd.in/dRAv6GU6 #marcofelluga #russizsuperiore

Owen Dugan, editor at Wine Spectator, recently published an article in the renowned magazine dedicated to the best wines to pair with a popular American dish: mac and cheese. Among the "comfort wines" that best accompany this dish is our MARCO FELLUGA MONGRIS COLLIO PINOT GRIGIO 2023, which received a score of 90/100. Editor Alison Napjus describes our label as follows: "The bright, mouthwatering Marco Felluga Collio Pinot Grigio Mongris 2023 carries flavors of ripe nectarine, citrus and tropical fruit, along with accents of ginger and honeysuckle." 🔗 Full coverage: https://lnkd.in/ds_h7Skn 🇪🇺 Campaign financed according to EU REG. 🏆 WINE SPECTATOR AWARDS OUR MARCO FELLUGA MONGRIS RISERVA PINOT GRIGIO 🏆 Alison Napjus, editor at Wine Spectator, writes about the best Pinot Grigios from northeastern Italy. 🔸 At the top of the recommended wines list is our MARCO FELLUGA MONGRIS COLLIO PINOT GRIGIO, which has been awarded a score of 92/100. The prestigious magazine describes Pinot Grigios from Friuli Venezia Giulia as follows: "Oak plays more of a roll in Friuli. With its generally lower vineyard elevations (up to about 750 feet) and its exposure to the Adriatic, Friuli's Pinot Grigios tend to be more medium-bodied and concentrated, though still minerally and fresh." #marcofelluga #russizsuperiore

The wine writer Hayley Hamilton Cogill included our MARCO FELLUGA MONGRIS COLLIO PINOT GRIGIO in a recent article dedicated to the best Pinot Grigios on the digital magazine Tasting Table 🍇 Our label is described as follows: "Pinot grigio is often a wine to open and enjoy within a year or two of its harvest vintage. Its fresh, fragrant, youthful style is one of its appealing attributes. Still, this production style often places the aromatic wine into a simple, less serious wine category, with many producers crafting bulk pinot grigio that sells for under $10 and lacks identity or varietal character. Thankfully Italy's Marco Felluga-Russiz Superiore proves this is not always the case as it displays in its age-worthy Marco Felluga Mongris Collio Pinot Grigio. The complex offering is from Collio within the greater Friuli region, with a hilly terrain and mineral-rich soils of marl and sandstone that were once a part of the ocean floor. These soils give the pinot grigio a notable mineral-intense character that blends with floral acacia, juicy lemon-lime, and ripe apple flavors. The wine has a full body with mouth coating texture and well-balanced character. While the price is close to the top of the $20 price range, its quality justifies the splurge, particularly as it is one you will want to savor slowly. Though the wine is easily enjoyable on its own, the gastronomic selection will pair well with lighter to more indulgent fare, including creamy pasta or rich shellfish dishes. We suggest enjoying it with a creamy lobster bisque or buttery seared scallops with butternut squash purée." 🔗Full coverage: https://lnkd.in/dNrZ5TiK #marcofelluga #russizsuperiore

Michael Apstein, a renowned wine writer, recently reviewed our Russiz Superiore Collio Cabernet Franc 2022 on the digital platform Wine Review Online, awarding it a score of 92/100 and describing it as follows: "Ilaria Felluga, following in footsteps of father Roberto and grandfather Marco, represents the 6th generation in charge of Russiz Superiore. I know Russiz Superiore sounds like it should be a DOC, but it’s really the name of one of their two estates. The other is simply named Marco Felluga. Russiz Superiore’s stylish 2022 is Cabernet Franc at its best: perfect ripeness, showing none of the vegetal character that that grape can deliver, nor any heaviness from over-ripeness. An engaging hint of leafiness acts as a counterpoint to its fruitiness. Charming and polished, its fine tannins make it a good choice for current consumption this winter." 🔗 Full coverage: https://lnkd.in/dthBnbZ4 #marcofelluga #russizsuperiore
