The second-year achievements of the AMBER project were just wrapped at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology in Erlangen, Germany. Our dedicated team, alongside all our partners, took a deep dive into the innovative demonstrator for hybrid-electric regional applications #AMBER together with the Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking leaders. Together, we discussed the progress made so far and mapped out the next steps for this EU demonstrator aimed to mature, integrate and validate key technologies necessary for a megawatt-class hybrid aircraft electric propulsion system powered by fuel cells. Alberico Gambino.   La visita, guidata dal nostro amministratore delegato Riccardo Procacci e dal management dello stabilimento campano, è stata l’occasione per illustrare le attività, competenze e soluzioni offerte dal sito, oltre che per incontrare i nostri colleghi che ogni giorno lavorano con passione sui nostri prodotti destinati ai principali motori aeronautici in servizio e al futuro del volo #weareavioaero

Thrilled for hosting the HYDEA Annual Review Meeting at our Pomigliano facilities! It was a fantastic opportunity for HYDEA partners to showcase the significant progress made during the project's first two years to CAJU and the Reviewers. Together, we reviewed our technology roadmap for hydrogen propulsion. Our Francesco Gaudino also provided an exciting tour of the Combustor testing facilities at the plant and shared insights into our investments in hydrogen. At Avio Aero, the safety of our products and services is what we care about most. We are therfore pleased to announce that we have successfully completed the path to have our Safety Management System approved according to EASA Regulation (EU 2022/201). Avio Aero holds multiple certifications and in particular has: • One Production Organization Approval in Italy, holding the multisite certificate IT.21G.0008. • One Maintenance Organization Approval located in Brindisi, holding the certificate IT.145.0409. • One Maintenance Organization Approval located in Pomigliano, holding the certificate IT.145.0209. Safety Management System (SMS) implementation represents a further step forward in strengthening Avio Aero's commitment to promoting a positive safety culture at all levels of the organization and to the continuous improvement of aviation safety. #weareavioaero #SMS

Ieri abbiamo partecipato all'evento “Il Made In Italy tra tecnologie all'avanguardia e nuovi concetti di fabbrica” a Torino, con l'intervento di Dario Mantegazza, Chief Manufacturing Engineer Additive Business di Avio Aero, al panel su “Manifattura additiva e SMART”. Un'occasione in cui istituzioni, mondo accademico e imprese si sono incontrate per analizzare come la produzione tramite additive manufacturing possa trasformare i processi industriali e le componenti dei motori aeronautici, rendendoli più compatti, leggeri, performanti e sostenibili. Una tecnologia che ci vede tra i pionieri del nostro settore e che è fondamentale per il futuro del volo #weareavioaero

With the Clean Aviation Annual Forum now just behind us, we are excited to reaffirm how we’re advancing the future of flight. We are proud to lead the AMBER project, a hybrid-electric technology demonstrator, and the HYDEA project, dedicated to developing hydrogen-combustion technologies.
