🌞The Arinos solar park is now fully operational! With an estimated annual production of 1.4 TWh, the new PV plant in Brazil will provide clean energy to around 680,000 Brazilian homes and avoid 790,000 tons of CO₂ emissions yearly. 🎉 New Efficiency Record for Our Perovskite-on-Silicon Tandem Solar Cells 🌞 We are thrilled to announce that, in collaboration with CEA, we have achieved an efficiency of 30.8%! This milestone was reached in CEA’s laboratories at INES - Institut National de l'Energie Solaire. 🔬 Innovation & Progress: the tandem architecture has surpassed the theoretical efficiency limit of conventional silicon technologies. Additionally, CEA and 3SUN have achieved this performance on a 9 cm² cell, paving the way for industrial-scale production. 📈 +2.4 percentage points in one year: in just twelve months, cell efficiency has increased from 28.4% to 30.8%, proving the potential of perovskite-on-silicon tandem cells. 🌍 Environmental Impact: by replacing current technologies with 30-31% efficiency tandem cells, we can boost electricity production by over 20% or reduce land use and CO₂ impact by approximately 20%.
