SIDBI supported a successful seven-day Emergency Medical Workshop in Patna, organized by Balaji Seva Sansthan and Mediversal Hospital. This workshop formed part of a four-month comprehensive training programme and empowered fifty healthcare workers from rural Bihar. The programme directly responded to the critical need for enhanced emergency care skills among health workers, providing training in crucial areas such as Emergency Response Protocol, Trauma Care, Infectious Disease Management, and Disaster Response. The initiative garnered positive feedback from both the participating health workers and the wider medical community. The initiative is projected to result in improvements in critical patient care, enhance avenues for employment and self-employment among healthcare workers, and secure a readily available, practically trained workforce for healthcare facilities. SIDBI participated in Capacity building programme in Surat for MSME business owners organized by DBS Bank India and India SME Accelerator Network. The programme aimed at interacting with local enterprises to understand their challenges, building awareness of the available finance solutions, and providing guidance on suitable financial impetus for their business growth. MSMEs were guided on leveraging Government schemes and incentives for financing business growth. SIDBI also participated in a panel discussion on financial support for MSME growth in India and related government initiatives. Participants were briefed about various SIDBI assistance schemes and relevant announcements in the Union Budget concerning MSMEs, including reclassification, enhanced CGTMSE coverage, special schemes for women and SC/ST categories, and credit cards for Udyam Portal-registered micro units, to improve credit flow.
