Every day, we step up to bowl—some deliveries result in wickets, others get edged for a boundary, and sometimes, no matter how well we set our field, life just plays a perfect cover drive past us. But here’s the key: We control our field placements (our habits, mindset, and strategy), but we don’t control the batter (life’s uncertainties). So how do we play the long game? I broke it down into a simple 5-over system—where each month is 30 balls, and how we play those 5 overs defines our success.
