The Alternative Dispute Resolution Society was founded in 2016 and since that year, has paved the way for a greater mediation and negotiation culture in the university. The Society aims at promoting and encouraging the usage of alternative dispute resolution methods to resolve disputes and in furtherance of this cause holds several events throughout the year.

Greetings All, The NUJS Alternative Dispute Resolution Society successfully organised a Panel Discussion on “Mediating Disputes: Issues, Prospects and Careers” during the 7th NUJS Mediation Competition 2025. The panel consisted of Mr Joe Tirado, Founder of TiradoADR and former Co-Head of International Arbitration and ADR at Garrigues LLP UK, Mr. Chakrapani, Senior Partner at Khaitan & Co, Mr Jawad A J, Registrar of IAMC Hyderabad, Mr Sameer Bindra, Senior Associate at Khaitan & Co, and Param Bhamra, the Founder of MediateGuru The Panel Discussion was moderated by Ranak Banerji, a fourth-year student at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. The Panel Discussion was attended by the judges and participants of the 7th NUJS MC, the students of National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, and the patrons of the NUJS ADR Society. The discussion was enlightening, fruitful and insightful. We would like to thank the panellists for their time, efforts and wisdom. We hope to collaborate with them again in the future!
