“there are moments in life that change everything. but sometimes, the biggest transformations don’t come with grand realisations. they come quietly, in the spaces where duty meets passion.” “for me, that moment wasn’t when i stepped into a hospital, or served in a remote valley, or even when i held my child for the first time.” “it came much later — when a group of women from the middle east wrote to me saying they gather every week to watch my videos. to understand their bodies. to unlearn what they had been told. to make sure their daughters didn’t suffer the same silence.” “that was when i knew — this was about more than just medicine. this was about reclaiming knowledge. reclaiming autonomy. reclaiming power.” a gynaecologist, surgeon, doting mother, and the force behind maitri. from heading a hospital and serving in the indian army to building a WHO -verified information health portal – this is dr. anjali kumar’s story. full story: https://lnkd.in/guBzjeF4

  • what does success really mean to you – beyond titles, timelines, and to-do lists? 📋 we asked ourselves that (and so much more) in a session with the incredible Anita Sachdev - Coach ICF - PCC, Navigating Transitions Coach on ‘writing your script to success, that cracked us open in the best way. here’s what we’re taking with us: ✨ success ≠ significance success is often measured in milestones. significance is felt in alignment. it’s the shift from what do i do? to who am i becoming, and what do i leave behind? ✨ regret is a portal, not a prison we talked about how regret can be a teacher, not a trap. by simply reframing it, we can turn “what ifs” into “what’s next.” ✨ rooted vs. nurtured beliefs a reminder we all needed: many of us are living by definitions of success we didn’t choose. this session gave us the space to pause, name those inherited beliefs, and decide which ones still serve us. ✨ growth within the comfort zone turns out, growth doesn’t always require discomfort. sometimes, it means going deeper, not wider. getting clearer, not busier. ✨ our new success scripts we wrapped up by rewriting our own definitions of success — not what we were told, not what we used to chase, but what feels true right now, in this moment. our favourite declarations? ➡️ success is living with integrity, not intensity. ➡️ success is having the freedom to choose my pace. ➡️ success is impact, even if it’s quiet. what’s your (new) definition of success? tell us in the comments!

the workload of leadership: who's managing the manager? since nobody’s saying it, we will – leadership isn’t as powerful as you think. easy to glorify, and even easier to underestimate, we’re quick to think of leadership as crisp attires, strategic wins, and bold (and calm) decisions made fast. what they don’t tell you is that it’s a juggling act of epic proportions. every ball in the air is a responsibility, and dropping even one could ripple through the team. few notice, even fewer understand. but here’s the kicker: what happens when the person everyone turns to has no one to turn to? being a leader is only 20% big-picture thinking and a lot more about quietly holding space. for uncertainty. for others. for yourself. it’s all in a day’s work, yet none of this ever makes it to a glossy job description. when your job demands personal rectifications, the effort expected can feel like a personal attack. that’s when a leader learns the truth about leadership. 1️⃣ emotional labor: leadership is a constant exercise in emotional labor - diffusing tension, calming nerves, and reassurance. you’re the anchor in turbulent waters, the cheerleader when spirits are low, and the diplomat when tempers flare. funnily, this labor is a one-way street. leaders are expected to give and give, all while maintaining unshakable confidence. and it’s exhausting. there’s no checkmark for “managed a meltdown” on your to-do list. 2️⃣ the mental juggling act: leadership requires mental multitasking on an entirely different level. one moment, you’re strategising next quarter’s growth; the next, troubleshooting why the office coffee machine is leaking. each context switch demands a fresh mindset—leaving little room for deep work. unlike your team, whose goals are neatly itemised, your success is measured by vague, shifting metrics like “culture” or “morale.” these abstract responsibilities land squarely on your plate. 3️⃣ the price of being everyone’s go-to: leaders become the default go-to for every hiccup; approvals, advice, last-minute decisions. being “always available” might sound noble, but it’s a surefire path to burnout. while leaders hold up everyone else, their own support systems often fall by the wayside. isolation becomes the norm. who do you vent to when you’re supposed to have all the answers? who cheers you on when you’re quietly doubting yourself? 💬 so, should leadership stop being the goal? far from it. if the invisible workload of leadership is weighing everyone down, maybe it’s time we rethink how we approach it. 1️⃣ let vulnerability in: the most normal thing about a leader is their vulnerability. 2️⃣ spread the load: delegation isn’t just practical; it’s empowering. 3️⃣ set real boundaries: constant availability isn’t a flex; it’s a red flag. so, if you’re the leader, remember this: even the strongest need a little support, a little me-time, a little… leadership.
