Inspired by the thoughts of our founder, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, the KIIT School of Leadership believes....."to lead is to serve"
You don’t need to have more to give more. Some of the richest offerings come from those who give from what they feel, not from what they own. #AchyutaSamanta #ArtOfGiving

The MBA has long been considered the passport to corporate success. But in today’s fast-changing, #startup-driven economy, its traditional form of classroom education, theoretic explanations, ppts, and case study debates need to be realigned. We must think deep and hard about migrating our graduates from managers to leaders who can not only recite the 7Ps of marketing but can identify an unmet need, design a solution, and mobilize a team to bring it to life. We need a new kind of business education. One that trains students the art and science of analyzing problems and equips them to solve them, replaces abstract theory with immersive experience and recognizes that #Innovation, #Entrepreneurship, and #Venture Development (IEV) are no longer electives. In a world grappling with complex challenges—from #climate #change to #Deeptech to #AI to digital #disruption, young professionals need to do more than manage—they need to #innovate, #create, and #lead. This transformation is already underway in pockets. Institutions across the world—like Babson College in the U.S., HEC Paris, and Aalto University in Finland—are building #MBAs where students launch ventures, #cocreate with industry, and learn by doing. In India too, the Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV) framework, supported by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell - MIC offers a fresh blueprint. Under this model, students don’t just write business plans, they start businesses. They work in incubators, engage with mentors, pitch to investors, and are assessed not just on exams but on what they build. This kind of education fosters resilience, creativity, leadership, and above all, real-world impact. To get there, at KIIT School of Leadership in partnership with the KIIT-Technology Business Incubator, a team of faculty, industry leaders, #incubation leaders and startup #founders came together to deliberate, debate and decide on what they feel necessary to create a pathway for future founders. An enriching curriculum centered around the on-ground realities of today, the role of faculty as #coaches & #collaborators, industry partnerships to identify problems & pain points, solution #pitches as tools of assessment and finally bringing together a generation of entrepreneurs who will help realize the vision of #viksitbharat Follow this page to partner with us in this journey of progress, prosperity and peace. KIIT School of Leadership learning is collaborative and embedded in culture Happy #pakhaladiwas to all
Today, at KIIT - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology I had the privilege of hosting Prof. Andrzej Woźniak and Prof. Magdalena Ścigała from Helena Chodkowska University of Technology and Economics, Warsaw (Poland) along with my good friends Saswat Kishore Mishra Dr Smruti Ranjan Das Ananya Das Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Lenka for a traditional Pakhala lunch at Desii by Smrutishree in #Bhubaneswar, on the occasion of Pakhala Diwas. As we sat down to savor the flavorful rice dish, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and joy in sharing a piece of our Odia culture with them. For the uninitiated, Pakhala is a traditional Odia dish made from fermented rice, water, and a dash of spices. It's a staple in many Odia households, especially during the summer months. The simplicity and uniqueness of Pakhala lie in its preparation, which involves soaking cooked rice in water overnight, allowing it to ferment and develop a tangy flavor. As we sat down to eat, I explained the significance of Pakhala in Odia culture and the story behind Pakhala Diwas. My friends were fascinated by the idea of celebrating a traditional dish with such fervor and enthusiasm. They were also impressed by the variety of accompaniments that we Odias typically enjoy with Pakhala, such as fried fish, vegetables, and pickles. The lunch was a resounding success, with my friends raving about the flavors and textures of the dish. One of them even asked for the recipe, which I happily shared! As we finished our meal and bid each other farewell, I felt grateful for the opportunity to share our culture and hospitality with my foreign friends. It was a truly enriching experience, and I hope to host many more such gatherings in the future. To all my fellow Odias out there, I urge you to celebrate Pakhala Diwas with the same enthusiasm and pride. Let us come together to promote our culture, traditions, and cuisine, and share them with the world. #PakhalaDiwas #OdiaCulture #Hospitality #Foodie #Bhubaneswar" #desiibysmrutishree KIIT School of Leadership
