🌟 Innovative Therapy for Gender Dysphoria: A Path to Better Mental Health 🧠✨ 📖 In the International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (Vol. 25, Issue 01, 2021), Katayoon Osaty Araghi and Mahdieh Salehi explored the impact of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on mental health in patients with Gender Dysphoria Disorder. 🔍 Study Details: Conducted at the Institute of Psychiatry, Tehran, this quasi-experimental study used a pretest-posttest design. 30 participants with gender dysphoria were assessed for anxiety, depression, and stress before and after ACT intervention using Lovebound & Lovebound’s questionnaire (1995). 📊 Results: ACT showed remarkable effectiveness in reducing anxiety, depression, and stress levels in patients. Findings highlight ACT's suitability as a therapeutic option for gender dysphoria-related challenges.
