Bridging the Gap Between Academia & Industry in the Furniture, Interior & Allied Sector! FFSC successfully hosted the Academic Partners Meet on 10th April in Pune, in support with the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) – Pune Regional Chapter. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from leading institutes across Pune and opened with an introduction to FFSC’s vision, programs, and training ecosystem. It was followed by engaging discussions on key focus areas: ✅ Skill Development & Training – Implementing industry-aligned upskilling programs to enhance students’ technical and practical competencies. ✅ Apprenticeships – Promoting experiential learning through structured opportunities under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). ✅ Career Placements – Strengthening industry connect to support student placements. ✅ Curriculum Alignment – Collaborating with academia to align curriculum with real-time industry demands, ensuring students are future-ready. #IKC2025 We are delighted to share that FFSC proudly served as the Knowledge Partner at the prestigious India Kitchen Congress-IKC 2025, held on 4th April in Bengaluru. Our vibrant #SkillPavilion was a hub of innovation and inspiration, showcasing FFSC’s commitment to transforming the Furniture, Interior, and Allied sectors through skill development and industry collaboration. At the Skill Pavilion, we showcased the journey that led to the launch of the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru, made possible through Skill Gap Test. We invited other industry partners to be a part of this mission by participating in the Skill Gap Test, laying the foundation for similar COEs in their regions. One of the highlights was an impactful session by Mr. Rahul Mehta, CEO, FFSC, on “Apprenticeship: World's #1 Skilling Strategy – Why?”, sparking meaningful dialogue on the future of workforce development. From delving into lean manufacturing to exploring technology integration and advocating for organized growth in the interior business, IKC 2025 was a platform brimming with insightful dialogues. The event shed light on the woodworking industry's challenges and opportunities, stressing the crucial importance of skills development, innovation, and market organization for propelling growth. #PlacementDrive FFSC team conducted a placement drive for the 4th batch of Centre of Excellence (COE) students on 27th March 2025 at NSTI, Vidyanagar, Hyderabad. Over 11+ students trained at the COE participated in the placement drive, where an HR round and employer interviews were conducted by a panel of industry experts. This resulted in 100% placement as apprentice with stipends ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹18,000 per month along with other benefits offered by the individual industry. #MeriSkillMeriPehchaan FFSC team successfully conducted a training session for carpenters on, 23rd March 2025, at FFSC Center of Excellence, Hyderabad under the Meri Skill Meri Pehchaan program. This training, supported by GREENPLY INDUSTRIES LIMITED, one of our esteemed partners, focused on skill orientation for experienced workers from the Furniture, Interior, and Allied Sector. Participants gained knowledge about industry-specific international measurement standards and other critical skills. Additionally, over 45 carpenters actively participated, enhancing their expertise through this initiative. Furthermore, our trainers showcased innovative carpentry skills that can be easily implemented into their daily job, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
