🚀 On April 9-10, the INSPIRE consortium gathered in Lublin, Poland, for its 2nd Project Meeting, hosted by our partner European Rural Development Network (ERDN). 📍 Over the first day, partners reviewed progress, exchanged insights, and explored the next steps for promoting social inclusion in rural Europe. They also had the chance to meet with representatives of our sister projects ESIRA Project and SERIGO Project, in an online dedicated session. 🌾 On the second day, the consortium visited the regions of Parczew and Hołowno, where the upcoming Polish Smart Village Lab will take place. All of us at The Wheel are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Julian Benson over the weekend.    While many will know him as a judge on RTÉ's Dancing with the Stars or as a passionate Gaeilgeoir, Julian was also a tireless fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis supports, and the founder of Julian Benson CF Foundation.    As someone who lived with CF, and who defied doctors' expectations, Julian wanted to create a home from home in Dublin for families around the country with loved ones facing long hospital stays due to their CF. After rallying a legion of volunteers and supporters, Julian's vision and ambition were finally realised earlier this year. Tranquility House in Rathmines was finally completed and is due to open its doors to families in the coming weeks. Julian's legacy is not only his own story of resilience, but a beautiful sanctuary that families can enjoy for many years to come.    Rest in peace Julian Benson, and our sincerest condolences to all who loved him.
