It's #TanksOnTuesday time, with an update from the #Rathvilly Water Treatment Plant for Uisce Éireann Irish Water, working in partnership with Carlow County Council. This #TanksonTuesday we are giving a shout out to our clients Barhale Ltd who received a Certificate of Commendation for the Dewsbury WWTW Upgrade Project! Congratulations to the Barhale Enpure JV #Dewsbury WWTW Upgrade Project team, working for Yorkshire Water, who were awarded the Certificate of Commendation in the Centenary Award (projects £5m and over) category at last weeks ICE Yorkshire and Humber Awards. The project involved a major upgrade to overhaul primary treatment at the waste water treatment works, improving performance, reliability, creating habitats and ensuring better water quality in the River Calder for future generations to which we designed manufactured & installed three prestressed and posttensioned concrete primary settlement tanks. 2no. Tanks 44.9m Diameter x 3.31m High and 1no. 44.9m x 4.3m high. Each tank comprised of 59no. wall panels with built in concrete launder channel along with top band copings and adjacent chambers.
