📢 OMC Technologies are delighted to announce the Senior Management appointment of Tomas Comerford to the Board of Directors which strengthens the leadership team and brings a sharper focus to some of the sectors the company operates in. Tomás takes up the role of Director with responsibility for the Pharma Division of the business with oversight on company H&S and Quality matters. The appointment is in response to the continuing growth and development of the company. Operating in Ireland, the UK and across Europe, OMC Technologies DAC now have a turnover in excess of €40m with 225 directly employed staff. Commenting on the appointment Padraic Comerford MCIOB, said “This appointment to our Board of Directors will further enhance OMC’s capabilities and will strengthen the business in terms of growth and delivering for our customers. Having started as a graduate, and worked in various roles in the business, Tomás has a deep understanding of the business, its people and its core values. This appointment is a reflection of his commitment to the company and I wish Tomas all the best in his new role and I know the OMC team will continue to deliver under his leadership." Tom Comerford, a founding member of the OMC Group almost 45 years ago, and current OMC Chairman commented “Having started the company myself in 1981, It’s great to see the next generation of the Comerford family taking a lead role in driving the OMC business onto a new level into the future, I wish Tomas and the company continued success.”

We had a busy week in Thurles last week where we had Thurles CBS 2nd year Engineering Students out to visit our Workshop, followed by a Career Day for Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed in the Dome. Both occasions offered brilliant opportunities for young students to see and learn about local businesses, and to offer insight on potential career paths for these young, eager engineers! Big thanks to both schools for having us as part of your schedules! 📚

🛠️ Our workshops have been busy with some recent items for production, on a large scale Life Science Project in North Dublin. The BOV Platform is a total of 19metres in length and 3.6 metres in width. We also have some images of our OMC Flat bed truck delivering a galvanised roof platform to this site. This platform has a weight of approximately 10 tonne and is made up of 41 fabricated elements. #LifeSciences #Construction #dublinireland #fabrication #Stainlesssteel

💡 Brilliant to see such talent coming through local Third Level Education here in Limerick at TUS - Mid West Careers and Employability. 💡 We have recently had the pleasure of meeting the TUS Motorsport Racing Team and offer some welcomed funding towards their design, development and manufacturing of their Formula Racing Car which is due to compete at Silverstone Formula Student Event in the UK this July 2025.
