Under the expert guidance of Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman, the team drew from six unique distillate styles, each a tribute to generations of whiskey craftsmanship. For the first time, three distinct grain whiskey styles, including rare 22- and 21-Year-Old expressions, have been masterfully blended to create a whiskey of exceptional depth, balance, and character. Midleton Very Rare marks a historic milestone with the unveiling of Chapter Six in the Silent Distillery Collection, the final and rarest release in what is now the oldest and most prestigious collection of Irish whiskey ever created. Distilled 50 years ago at the Old Midleton Distillery, this final chapter pays tribute to two centuries of Irish whiskey craftsmanship. It is a legacy distilled by Master Distiller Emeritus Max Crockett and safeguarded across generations by Barry Crockett, Brian Nation and Kevin O'Gorman Crafted using a unique marrying cask made from the previous five chapters, Chapter Six is a singular expression of heritage, innovation and extraordinary care. As we continue to celebrate 200 years of distilling tradition this year, we are delighted to launch a new series which explores the evolution of Midleton Distillery, telling its story through the prism of its labels and the legacy behind them.   Since 1825, Midleton Distillery has been at the heart of Irish whiskey, crafting some of the most iconic and celebrated Irish whiskeys in the world - home to Jameson, Redbreast, Midleton Very Rare, The Spot Whiskeys, Powers, and Method and Madness.   In the first episode, guided by our Head of Archives, Carol Quinn, allow us to take you back to the beginning, before whiskey was even bottled and when one thing mattered above all – the origin of the whiskey.   The stamp of Midleton on a barrel became synonymous with quality, craftsmanship, innovation and heritage. As part of our commitment to nurturing future distilling talent, we were delighted to welcome students from Technological University Dublin's Brewing and Distilling course to the Irish Whiskey Academy last week for a specially tailored one day session where they had the opportunity to meet with Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman and complete a full tour of our warehouses, micro distillery and central laboratory. Meet Garance Curutchet, our Jameson International Brand Ambassador in Granada, Spain ☀️ Garance, a fluent French & Spanish speaker, moved from her home in France to join the Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme in Spain. She was looking for a role where she could be creative, meet new people and play her part in building the Jameson brand internationally. Did you know…Jameson has been bottled in its iconic green bottle since 1968. Originally a Single Pot Still, it was reimagined as a Blend in 1968, with a new bottle to celebrate. The colours of the bottle and the label were inspired by stained glass panels that can still be seen on the doors at Jameson Distillery Bow St. today. #DidYouKnow #Jameson

Meet Ellie Gavigan, our 🍀 🥃 Irish Whiskey Brand Ambassador based in New York, USA 🌎 Ellie's journey on the Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme brought her from studying at 🎓 University of Galway to becoming a global brand advocate for our family of Irish Whiskeys. 🌟 Over the last 3 years Ellie has gone from Ireland to Indonesia to the diverse, vibrant city of New York. In her role, Ellie works alongside our Pernod Ricard North America colleagues to build brand awareness, foster relationships, and bring the Irish Distillers brands to life in the US. What an incredible week at SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas, celebrating the debut of Redbreast Unhidden and shining a light on remarkable short films that deserve to be seen. In partnership with the brilliant Andrew Scott, Redbreast Irish Whiskey is proud to champion bold, original storytelling through the Redbreast Unhidden Award, honouring independent filmmakers who bring fresh perspectives to the screen. Huge congratulations to Director Andy Reid and Producer Alessandra Sconza, the first-ever recipients of the Redbreast Unhidden Award for their short film Brief Somebodies, and to all the talented nominees.
