Unlocking Moldova’s Innovation Potential With its strong talent and entrepreneurial spirit, Moldova is brimming with innovation potential. The EIT supports Moldova with capacity-building, entrepreneurial skills and cross-border collaboration. Until now we helped 7 startups, attracting EUR 264 000 in investment, and more than 120 people took part in our education activities. 📌 This year we’re stepping up our presence through key events such as the EIT Community Moldova Ecosystem Day and the Startup Moldova Summit (April 16) — building momentum for what’s next. 🔍 We are also exploring to create a local EIT Community Hub to support innovators and better connect the country to Europe’s largest innovation network. 🛠️ Moldova’s innovation potential is real. It was great to welcome Manfred Ronzheimer, a Berlin-based journalist at our headquarters in Budapest.   During his visit, he explored the EIT’s role in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness. From meeting with startups and universities from our ecosystem to exchanging views with EIT colleagues, the visit was packed with discussions on major trends driving innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.   As Europe navigates a complex reality, strong innovation journalism with a pan-European perspective plays an important role in telling the stories of how people and organisations come together across borders to shape the future. ‘For me, it was truly fascinating to gain a behind-the-scenes look at the engine room of innovation through the EIT. Seeing how new technologies are identified, supported, turned into tech startups, and scaled—these are efforts that need to happen all across Europe.
