For a short time, the students stepped into the shoes of our development engineers, gaining valuable insights into innovation and career opportunities in tech. At Mátészalkai Esze Tamás Gimnázium, 500 students explored cutting-edge technologies like automated vehicles, e-bikes, electric drives, and robotics—all through hands-on experiences and workshops. 💡 From a vintage-style electric racing car to mobile laboratories, students stepped into the shoes of Bosch development engineers, discovering how innovation drives a safer and more efficient future of transport. Little Ágoston Tóth-Helli was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia at just 3.5 months old. While childhood leukemias are often treatable, his illness was caused by a rare gene mutation (CBFA2T3::GLIS2) that affects only a few children worldwide each year (exclusively under the age of 2), with a survival rate of just 15-20% without immunotherapy. Doctors in Hungary have provided the best available chemotherapy tailored to his case, but unfortunately, it has not led to remission. The current plan is an experimental drug, which may only prolong his life by a few years. Sadly, there are no further treatment options in Hungary—only immunotherapy available in the USA can save his life. While the drug itself is provided by the manufacturer, the hospital treatment costs must be covered by the family—amounting to nearly 500 million HUF.
