Swire Resources hosted our annual Commitment Day across two inspiring mornings on last Thursday and Friday, uniting all our frontline colleagues to learn, commit and celebrate!   The event kicked off with an energizing taiko drum performance 🥁, along with an interactive session with the audience, symbolizing our unity and teamwork. Swire Resources is pleased to have received an award “the Excellent Green Practices Award – Waste Management” 🏅 from the Hong Kong Green Shop Alliance to recognize our company-wide efforts 💪 in effective waste management and stewardship in sustainability 🗑️♻️. Various initiatives have been implemented throughout Swire Resources’ operation to minimise waste generation and lower landfill ratio, for example, digitalizing the delivery process to eliminate the use of 400,000 pieces of paper, adopting reusable or lower-impact logistic packaging alternatives. With the support from Swire Pacific’s Sustainable Development Fund 🤝🏻, Swire Resources has partnered with VCycle, a Hong Kong social enterprise that drives vulnerable elderly reemployment, since May 2024 to collect over 500kg of recyclable waste from its retail operation. Furthermore, staff are encouraged to adopt a low-waste lifestyle in everyday life.
