Last week we organised The Kindness Gala 2025, where we raised over $6 million! This incredible achievement goes beyond numbers - it’s transforming lives for people experiencing homelessness. We are deeply grateful for the support from our table sponsors, pledge donors, the Organising Committee and our volunteers, which empowers us to continue our vital work to provide services and resources to friends on the street. Last week, a group of kind-hearted volunteers joined us on a Kindness Walk to distribute much needed necessities and also to help raise awareness about the great need for our community to come together and care for those experiencing homelessness in our city. The care and holistic approach is working as we see multiple friends graduating from our support and becoming financially independent every month! We are raising funds to ensure we can afford essential services and shelter. Over the past two years ImpactHK have helped a new individual off the streets into shelter roughly every 3 days! Our outreach service is the first step in our efforts to connect with individuals experiencing homelessness and to earn their trust. In addition to our regular Kindness Walks, last year we formed a new Outreach Team led by one of our experienced social workers. This team, comprised of three trained caseworkers and a nurse, regularly visit different districts to provide basic support, medical check-ups, and health counseling. Through these outreach services, we aim to build trusting relationships while guiding them to our Community Centre 29 for further assistance. Finding individuals experiencing homelessness can also be incredibly difficult, as many seek refuge in hidden areas like stairwells and public toilets. Over the past year, our Walk Leaders have devoted their efforts to leading our weekly Kindness Walks across different districts of Hong Kong, distributing essential supplies, and sharing much-needed care with those who need it most.
