Community Business was proud to support the Gender-Sensitive Reporting Stylebook Launch and Workshop, hosted by the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) in Hong Kong. The event brought together passionate media professionals to explore how gender sensitivity can enhance reporting and promote inclusive storytelling. Our Associates, Blake Chan and Sarah Chan, joined as panelists, sharing their invaluable insights on this critical topic. The session was interactive and dynamic, with audience members like Ruby and organiser Holly contributing to the panel discussion—making it a truly collaborative experience. Key takeaways included: ✅ The evolving nature of terminology and editing norms in journalism. ✅ The importance of accuracy and respect as core pillars of journalistic integrity—not in conflict with journalistic freedom but essential to it. ✅ A call for editors and management to adapt to the times and lead inclusively. We’re thrilled to have been part of this impactful event, which underscores the power of media in shaping equitable narratives. Thank you to AAJA for hosting such an engaging workshop and to all who participated! You can download the report here: https://lnkd.in/giF46mKd #GenderEquality #InclusiveMedia #CommunityBusiness
